We are seeking an Activity Assistant to join our amazing Chandler team. Our Activity Assistant plays an important role in the lives of the seniors we serve and are a key member of our team. By providing appropriate and meaningful physical, mental and social activities to our seniors, you have the joy knowing you are contributing to their quality of life and building priceless relationships. How rewarding is it to feel inspired, valued, and appreciated all while having fun and knowing you make a tangible and emotional impact from your work. We currently have openings for Full- time, Part-time, and PRN. Responsibilities: (include but not limited to) Assist with preparation and distribution of weekly program contents. Assist with gathering information, articles, and photos for newsletter. Assist with planning and coordinating special events including events for seasonal holidays. Assist in planning and conducting art program, entertainment for special events, monthly birthday parties, group games, weekly religious services and individual independent activities. Assist the Director in maintaining an adequate supply of books, puzzles, magazines and games. Assist the Director in training all staff on activity-related programs. May be responsible for transporting residents to appointments, as well as regular and special recreational outings. Assist the Director in communicating information to the Nursing department regarding activity ability changes in status that may require resident Care Plan updates. Report all program policy/procedures discrepancies to the Director of Activities. Perform all other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Must Love People!
