About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) to serve as the top cybersecurity strategist. The CISO will be responsible for leading the development and execution of the enterprise-wide information security strategy, policies, and standards. This role involves working collaboratively across departments and with external partners to ensure the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of the company's systems and data. The CISO will also provide high-level support to the Chief Information Officer and oversee a team of security professionals, guiding the company's efforts to stay ahead of evolving cybersecurity risks in a complex digital environment. Candidates for the CISO position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and a minimum of 10 years' professional experience in information systems, with at least 5 years in managing enterprise information security. The ideal candidate will have a strong command of cybersecurity leadership, physical security management, data security oversight, and experience in project management, risk management, incident response, and regulatory compliance. Municipal or government experience is preferred. The CISO must be a proactive leader, capable of developing high-performing teams, and driving a culture of security awareness. A CCISO, CISSP, and/or CISM certification is highly preferred, and the candidate should have a strong understanding of NIST frameworks and publications related to security and risk management.
