Dixon is seeking a skilled CNC Lathe Machinist to join our 2nd shift manufacturing team at our Houston, TX facility. In this role, you will set up and operate CNC lathes to produce high-precision metal components and inspect parts to ensure they meet engineering specifications. This is an excellent opportunity to grow your machining skills in a supportive and safety-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

\n
• Set up and operate CNC lathes
\n
• Troubleshoot and resolve machining or programming issues
\n
• Perform daily machine maintenance
\n
• Read and interpret blueprints and specifications
\n
• Use precision measuring tools to inspect parts
\n
• Follow all safety protocols and company procedures
\n
• Collaborate with team members and rotate between assignments as needed
\n
• Participate in ongoing training and development
\n

\n Qualifications

\n
• Minimum 5 years of experience operating CNC lathes \n
\n
• Familiar with G & M code ; Mazatrol experience is a plus
\n
• Proficient in blueprint reading and use of precision measuring instruments
\n
• Strong math, reading, and problem-solving skills
\n
• Ability to lift and maneuver up to 50 lbs. repeatedly during shift
\n
• Capable of standing for the duration of the shift
\n
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
