Job Description

As a Elite Security Officer Armed Patrol in San Antonio, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more .

As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment at a bustling retail location. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the premises, remaining highly visible to help to deter unwanted activity, and responding promptly to any security-related concerns. This is an armed and driving post, requiring you to carry a firearm and operate a vehicle as part of your daily duties. You will interact with the public and store personnel, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication while upholding the highest standards of professionalism. Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeMon06:00 AM - 03:15 PMThur02:45 PM - 11:30 PMSat07:00 AM - 07:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing appropriate de-escalation techniques as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and other key areas within the retail environment to help to deter theft, vandalism, and/or other prohibited activities.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential disturbances and provide reassurance to employees and customers.
• Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and/or hazards according to Allied Universal and client protocols.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency services as required during incidents or emergencies.
• Follow all Allied Universal and client policies regarding the carrying and use of firearms while on duty.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least three years of combined law enforcement, military or possess a college degree or 5+ years Armed experience.
• Must possess a valid armed guard card or license as required by state and/or local regulations.
• Must have a Level III armed certification or active Armed Guard Card by Texas state law.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements for driving positions.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
