ABOUT THE ROLE
The Inside Sales Representative (ISR) is responsible for pro-active selling to specific customer segments, administration of key sales systems and processes and providing sales support to the Field Sales Team. This position will also serve as cashier on an as needed basis. The ISR works closely with his/her Area Sales Manager, fellow TMs, Market Analyst, and Credit & Collections and Customer Value Center personnel. Develop and sustain a Business Strategy designed to increase product gross margins and gain or protect market share for smaller to medium size accounts. Provide basic technical service to customers, assist the Marketing and Sales efforts within the defined market area.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
• Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to safety policies in all work environments and areas.
• Outbound prospecting calls for sales growth.
• Outbound courtesy calls for maintaining current long term customer relationships.
• Outbound quote follow up calls in an attempt to close sale.
• Qualify customers and provide price quotes for material needs within company goals and objectives.
• Accountability for resolving customer credit issues.
• Interface with Outside Sales, Operations, Logistics and Quality Control.
• Prepare data needed in sales budgets, sales reports and market analysis.
• Gather intelligence on all market products and creates a realistic succession pipeline of customers that can be sold if other volumes are lost.
• Handle other duties as assigned.
Additional Requirements:
• Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Holcim approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Subject to applicable law,
employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
