Overview SOS International LLC (SOSi) is seeking a Junior Proposal Writer to support our Capture and Proposal Team. The writer is responsible for a variety of tasks related to producing material for proposals, white papers, and other Business Development-related material including assisting to develop and edit graphics for hard copy and electronic submissions. The proposal writer creates, reviews, and edits material to ensure compliant, compelling, and accurate text is prepared for final dissemination. Essential Job Duties Contributes material for management volumes and plans; tailors and edits resumes; and develops past performance sections and volumes; and writes responses for requests for information, sources sought, and white paper responses. Ensures high-quality content for proposals and other corporate materials. Reviews request for proposals (RFPs) and to helps confirm that proposal responses are compliant and compelling. Edits and guides content of proposal artifacts through the review processes. Researches and writes material as needed. Harmonize proposal writing across the volume to ensure one voice in presenting proposal content. Assists proposal team with keeping the past performance library and knowledge management library updated. Minimum Requirements Master’s degree in English or related field. Must be able to obtain a Secret security clearance. 0 -2 years direct proposal technical writing experience. Able to take bulleted information, snippets, and rough ideas (from meeting notes and storyboards) and transform them into compelling proposal narrative. MS Word Proficiency. Excellent reading comprehension, writing, spelling, communication, and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to manage time and deliverables under tight deadlines. Strong critical reasoning and problem-solving skills. Adapt easily in a growing, developing, and fast-paced environment. Must be flexible, highly motivated, and reliable. Ability to multi-task; organize and prioritize multiple on-going projects. Work Environment Working conditions are normal for an office environment. Around-the-clock availability and non-traditional working hours including nights, weekends and holidays, as needed. Occasional physical exertion, including lifting and/or moving objects or packages weighing up to 25 lbs.
