Private Duty School Nurse
Team Select is seeking a Private Duty School Nurse to work the hours of 7:00am-2:00pm Monday-Friday. We are seeking a nurse who is familiar with g-tube feedings, suctioning, and medication administration. You would be working 1-on-1 with a patient in a special needs classroom setting. You start your day by touching base with your care team, whether that's mom, dad, or the nurse you are relieving. For added ease, in-depth information on your patient is available on our dedicated Point of Care platform.
Your patient greets you with a smile and their family expresses tremendous gratitude for you caring for their loved one. After disconnecting her ventilator, you hug each other in a warm embrace then enjoy a nice breakfast and quick rinse in the bath. From there, every day is a new adventure and full of possibilities. You may decide to build a fort together, play hopscotch or dive into a coloring book.
Throughout the day, you prepare and deliver her medications and perform her routine trach and g-tube care documenting the dosages and treatments within your dedicated Point of Care platform, where you're able to view and compare notes and assessments easily and electronically. While your client takes a late afternoon nap, you finalize your electronic documentation and touch base with the relieving member of your care team before heading home.
Each day will take you on a new adventure as a Team Select nurse. It will be extremely rewarding as you realize how much of a positive impact you are having not only on the patient, but their loved ones too!
*Qualifications, Licenses, and Certifications*
* Graduate of an approved school of professional nursing and currently licensed in the state(s) in which practicing.
* Maintains a current CPR certification
* BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification (preferred)
* Pediatric experience (preferred)
