Job Description

As a Elite Security Officer - Armed Mall Patrol in San Antonio, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more.

As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment at a retail location. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the premises, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and responding promptly to any situations that arise. This is an armed and driving post, requiring you to be prepared to act with professionalism and integrity at all times. You will interact with employees, visitors, and customers, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication while upholding Allied Universal's values of agility, reliability, and innovation. Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing appropriate de-escalation techniques as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and other key areas within the retail environment to help to deter theft, vandalism, and/or other unwanted activity.
• Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter potential issues and provide assistance to customers, employees, and visitors as needed.
• Document and report all incidents, observations, and/or activities according to Allied Universal and client protocols.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency responders when required by site-specific procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, possess a college degree or have 5+ years of Armed experience.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must possess a Level III armed certification or Armed Guard Card for Texas.
• A valid driver's license is required and must meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
