We’re looking for a Senior Public Relations Specialist to serve as the trusted voice and strategic media liaison on behalf of a high-profile client. As the Senior Public Affairs Specialist, you’ll be the go-to media contact—leading proactive public relations efforts, developing communication plans that inform and inspire, and ensuring that every message delivered is consistent, timely, and mission-aligned. You'll manage media outreach, strategic messaging, and stakeholder engagement while helping elevate awareness and understanding of the client’s purpose and community impact.

💼 What You’ll Do

  • Serve as the primary media point of contact , ensuring all communications are professional, timely, and accurate.
  • Lead PR strategy by offering clear POVs, solutions, and communications that support client goals.
  • Develop and implement internal and external communication plans that educate the public and beneficiaries about the client’s mission, values, and success stories.
  • Create and manage strategic communications metrics to measure impact and productivity.
  • Build and maintain relationships with beneficiaries , sponsors, and the broader community.
  • Act as the lead contact for all earned media and jackpot communications , charitable sponsorships, and public relations events.
  • Partner with internal teams to activate event sponsorships and maximize marketing investments.
  • Manage public records requests and facilitate official client communications in response.
  • Travel in-state as needed to support key media efforts.
  • Support colleague development and lead award submission efforts on behalf of the client.

🎯 What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience directing media, public relations, and strategic communications.
  • Proven experience serving as a spokesperson or media liaison for high-profile clients.
  • Deep understanding of PR strategies and messaging frameworks.
  • Familiarity with the Arizona/Phoenix media landscape is a major plus.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to juggle competing deadlines with ease.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and writing skills—across press releases, internal memos, and strategic plans.
  • Tech-savvy with proficiency in Google Suite, MS Office, and presentation tools .
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and grounded in sound judgment and professionalism.
