Salary: $67,600 - 122,200 per year Requirements: To be considered for this role, I require that you meet the following knowledge, skills, and abilities: You must be a U.S. Citizen with an active TS/SCI clearance and Polygraph. A Bachelor’s degree with 2 to 4 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with less than 2 years of relevant experience, is necessary. You should possess a current DoD 8570 certification applicable to this position (typically Security+). A comprehensive understanding of complex, classified, mission-specific communications infrastructure and technology that supports U.S. strategic launch capabilities is essential. Experience in launch or mission operations is required. You must have hands-on experience performing voice systems engineering on mission-critical systems. A solid grasp of mission-critical desktop and communications hardware and software is necessary. Experience with configuration management, change management, and service transition is also important. You should have excellent verbal and written communication abilities. A proven ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team is essential. Willingness to provide call-in support as required is a must. Responsibilities: In this role, I will expect you to: Deliver system-level engineering support for mission-critical IT systems, related telecommunications trunk circuits, voicemail, and telephone instrument units. Ensure the continuous availability of mission-critical launch communications systems through proactive Tier 2 hardware maintenance. Update or create knowledge articles to empower Tier 1 to resolve issues without escalating to Tier 2. Conduct daily system checks for alerts or service degradation. Provide systems engineering support for enterprise voice over IP (VoIP) phone systems, including Cisco VoIP units, voicemail, and Call Manager Systems. Execute reliable Voice availability and performance through proactive engineering methods and request fulfillment activities. Develop and implement technical solutions through in-depth analysis and comprehension of impacts on the end product/solution. Maintain the availability of mission-critical launch communications systems through proactive voice systems IT systems engineering. Handle incident and problem management to resolve or escalate issues to restore service. Support configuration management and change management activities.
